I think I’ve reached the point of adulthood where there is no “rested” status. Just varying degrees of tired.
I know this may not be the case for OP, but for some, look into getting a sleep trial done. I did mine and found out that I was getting way below the normal oxygen needed when I slept do to sleep apnea. I got a CPAP a few months ago and while I still experience some issues throughout the day, I have seen a big decline in a lot of issues I had (terrible morning headaches, drowsiness while driving in the daytime, increased anxiety, etc.). The CPAP might not be the best option for you, however a sleep trial can help you and your doctor determine what the best course of action is. I did the at home sleep trial (first results was inconclusive, second result warranted CPAP) but you can also do it in a lab.
I put my sleep issues off for so long because you see this type of stuff all the time on the internet where everyone is tired and such. Then I see articles where other young men my age were dying of sleep apnea. Sleep is one of the most important things in your life, do not skimp on sleep!

The worst part about this whole sleep bug in the system is that I’m only tired af on days where I have to work. On days off I still wake up at the same time and cant go to sleep. It’s why I’m going to slap jesus when I see him.
At some point being tired 24/7 became the norm and I just kind of accepted it, even sleeping for 7/8/9/10 hours doesn’t seem to allow me to wake up feeling rested.

I did that almost every day since the lockdown started. I stayed up very late to play games on my phone.
QFT. Physically I get adequate sleep but insomnia strikes sometimes and has been for about 30 years for me. I’m used to it though I do envy those that can sleep easily.

I got this strange thing where im tired in the morning and then get all excited and energized at night. No idea what it is but its bullshit. i have to force myself to sleep most nights at 12 or 1am and then wake up at 6:30am to go to work.
The key is to sleep for 4 hours or 12 to feel awake
It took me 7 hours to fall asleep today. I woke up at least 5 times before i was unable to fall asleep again. I think i got between 3 and 5 hours of actual sleep.
There’s no point or moral, i’m too tired to think up a joke about how relatable this image is.
Something that may help is to keep water on your nightstand or whatever table you have nearby. The reason people are so tired after waking up is partly due to dehydration.
